The Orangestripe Prawn Goby (Amblyeleotris randalli) is a peaceful and reef-safe species, instantly recognizable by its bold orange stripe and fascinating symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimps. With its sand-sifting nature and alert, watchful personality, it not only helps keep the substrate clean but also adds character and movement to the lower levels of the aquarium.
House in a mature, well-established aquarium with fine sand for burrowing and plenty of rockwork for shelter. A tight-fitting lid is a must, as gobies are known jumpers. They are best kept singly or as a bonded pair and should be avoided in setups with aggressive tank mates.
Feed a varied diet of small meaty foods, including mysis shrimp, copepods, and enriched brine, with additional high-quality pellets to ensure strong health, energy, and vibrant coloration.
