Description
The Six Line Wrasse (Pseudocheilinus hexataenia) is an energetic and curious species, well known for patrolling live rock in search of pests, leftover food, and small invertebrates. This makes it a useful and active addition to many reef aquariums.
A secure, covered tank is essential, as wrasses are skilled jumpers. They also appreciate ample rockwork for hiding and a soft sandy substrate, which many use to bury themselves at night. Generally reef-safe with caution, they can coexist with a wide variety of peaceful to semi-aggressive tank mates.
Their diet should be rich in protein, including mysis shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality pellets or frozen preparations.
The Six Line Wrasse is available now at Ocean in a Box, offered at the best price for your reef aquarium.
