Description
The Rainbow Wrasse (Female) (Thalassoma amblycephalum) is an energetic and eye-catching species, well known for its bright colors and active swimming behavior. Frequently seen patrolling the rockwork for pests, small invertebrates, and leftover food, it makes both a functional and attractive addition to a marine aquarium.
A covered aquarium is required, as wrasses are natural jumpers. Provide ample live rock for hiding and grazing, as well as a soft sandy substrate, since many wrasses bury themselves at night for rest and protection. They are generally reef-safe with caution and do well alongside peaceful to semi-aggressive tank mates.
Feed a protein-rich diet of mysis shrimp, finely chopped seafood, and high-quality pellets to maintain their vivid coloration, energy, and long-term health.
The Rainbow Wrasse (Female) is available now at Ocean in a Box, offered at the best price for your reef aquarium.
